2. Services & Repairs

  • Services are carried out based on the information provided by the customer.

  • A diagnostic may be required before confirming faults, pricing, or repair outcomes.

  • We do not guarantee that all devices can be repaired.

  • We reserve the right to refuse service if a device is unsafe, heavily modified, or beyond economical repair.

  • Repair timeframes are estimates and not guaranteed.

3. Refurbished & Sold Devices

  • All refurbished devices are professionally tested and verified as functional at the point of sale.

  • Devices may contain refurbished or replacement parts.

  • Cosmetic conditions will be clearly stated (e.g. Grade A, B, or C).

  • Product descriptions and specifications are accurate to the best of our knowledge at the time of sale.

4. Consumer Rights (UK Law)

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Under UK law:

  • Goods must be as described, fit for purpose, and of satisfactory quality.

  • If a product is faulty, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund depending on the circumstances.

  • For services, we will carry out work with reasonable care and skill.

5. Warranty

  • Refurbished devices may include a limited warranty, where stated.

  • The warranty covers hardware faults under normal use only.

  • The warranty does not cover:

  • Wear and tear

  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or power surges

  • Repairs or modifications by unauthorised third parties

  • Warranty is void if the device has been opened or repaired by a third party without our consent.

6. Data & Backup Responsibility

  • Customers are responsible for backing up all data before submitting devices.

  • Nerds2U is not liable for data loss during diagnostics, repairs, refurbishing, or upgrades.

  • Where data services are requested, recovery is not guaranteed.

7. Payments

  • Payment may be required in advance or upon completion, depending on the service.

  • All prices are subject to change.

  • Devices may be retained until full payment is received.

8. Cancellations & Refunds

Services

  • Diagnostic fees may be non-refundable once work has commenced.

  • If a repair is not viable, you will be informed before further work is carried out.

Products

  • Returns for online purchases are subject to the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

  • You may have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving goods, provided items are returned in the same condition.

  • Refunds may be adjusted if the device shows signs of use beyond inspection.

9. Customer Responsibilities

  • Customers must provide accurate and complete information about device faults.

  • Nerds2U is not responsible for issues arising from undisclosed damage, prior repairs, or liquid exposure.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • Nerds2U is not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

  • Our liability is limited to the cost of the service or product provided.

  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

11. Third-Party Services

  • Some services may involve third-party couriers, software, or tools.

  • Nerds2U is not responsible for delays, losses, or failures caused by third parties beyond our control.
